The third round of the #europeanfilmchallenge competition begins

The third round of the #europeanfilmchallenge competition begins on Monday, May 7th with the opening of Beldocs and lasts until July 31st, 2018. The winner wins the prize – a trip to the 75th Venice International Film Festival!

The International Documentary Film Festival Beldocs invites interested parties older than 18 to participate in the #europeanfilmchallenge prize and compete for valuable prizes. The audience is invited to watch 10 European films (documentary, feature, animated, experimental…) on various platforms (Internet, cinemas, festivals, television, etc.), publish the name of the film and the platform on which the film is watched, post the photo as evidence with hashtag #europeanfilmchallenge. After a certain time, the organizer of the competition will select the winner, who will win an attractive prize – a trip to one of the most important international film festivals of A + category. The second round of the competition began on February 12nd and lasted until April 15th, 2018, and the winner won a trip to the Cannes Film Festival.

Participants will receive 3 additional points for each film on the 11th Beldocs, and for the films that open the festival, they will receive 5 additional points per film.

The competition is part of a major European interactive project #europeanfilmchallenge, which includes the use of innovative and digital promotional techniques and tools, in order to contribute to the greater circulation of European films on different platforms. The competition is being held simultaneously in six European countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Croatia and Serbia. The organisers are “Cinema Metropolis”, “Cinema Bize”, “A-One Films”, “The Film Agency”, “International Documentary Film Festival Beldocs” and “Pari Pikule”. The project is implemented with the support of the European Union through the program Creative Europe MEDIA.
